David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions involving women.
The firm did not confirm the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
