The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites began covering regarding Sony's platform as a new development. 2025 was complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that Xbox continues to plan to engage players with quality releases on its flagship service.

The Immediate Additions

The two games currently accessible today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.

Major Titles on the Horizon

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of horror and action."

Compelling Indie Titles

Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

In summary, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service in the first place. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — rendering them excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
